The Cluster Collection was initially my intuitive, therapeutic response to the external chaos and internal anxiety brought on by the fall-out from the Corona-virus, Covid-19 Pandemic. This personal experience was transformed into a shared experience as the pile of paintings grew and I recognized some deeper meaning emerging. In the midst of hand washing, schools closing, mask wearing and self isolating, we watched as the groups we naturally clustered into fell apart. The constructs of classmate, coworker, neighbor, customer and more stopping all together. Slowly I noticed how new clusters were forming. Each of my paintings is a celebration of these clusters that came from global suffering and turned into things of beauty between people brought together in spite of adversity. The Cluster Collection was initially my intuitive, therapeutic response to the external chaos and internal anxiety brought on by the fall-out from the Corona-virus, Covid-19 Pandemic.
